Mr. Essaid is responsible for the oversight of financial reporting for GFP funds and their portfolio companies as well as the finance, compliance and administrative functions at GFP. Mr. Essaid is a member of GFP’s Executive Committee which sets the firm’s strategic direction and oversees its day to day operations. Mr. Essaid is also a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Essaid was a practicing CPA at Gallagher, Flynn & Company, LLP performing financial statement audits of privately held companies, not for profit organizations, and employee benefit plans. Prior to his accounting career, he served in US Army special operations forces and subsequently worked in the US and internationally as a security specialist and consultant. Mr. Essaid holds a MAcc from The University of Vermont and an AB from Harvard University.
